This course provides a complete foundation in colour analysis, designed to give you a deep understanding of how colour works in relation to individuals. The program explores the evolution of colour analysis, helping you understand why current systems exist and how they have developed over time. You will learn the key principles of colour theory, including undertone, value, intensity and contrast, and understand how they interact to form the basis of every professional analysis. You will learn how to distinguish undertone from overtone, recognise the impact of external factors such as tanning and ageing, and avoid the most common analytical mistakes. You will also explore the classic four-season system and its evolution into the advanced 12+4 system, learning how dominant colour characteristics define each subgroup and how the different seasonal profiles relate to each other.
A key part of the course is the Practice Studio and Your Practice, where you will work through 32 real models: 17 guided analyses in the Practice Studio and 15 additional models to analyse independently in Your Practice, with detailed feedback to help you review your conclusions. Through guided analysis, interactive video analysis and independent practice, you will refine your visual skills, reasoning process, and learn how to make consistent decisions with real models. You will also learn how to approach challenging and borderline cases, compare similar seasonal profiles, and make analytical decisions when the answer is not immediately obvious.
Alongside the theoretical components, you will be guided through the full professional workflow of a colour analyst, including how to structure online consultations, prepare and manage in-person sessions, use digital tools and presentation systems, and deliver results in a clear and visually coherent way. Particular attention is given to client experience, communication, and guiding the analysis from preparation through to final delivery.
Finally, you will have access to post-course support from Alessandra and Giulia, designed to support your development, clarify complex concepts, and help you apply your knowledge with confidence as you begin working independently. This support consists of 30 days of Q&A, during which you can submit your course-based questions in writing and receive a personal response from Alessandra and Giulia.
You will also have ongoing access to the Studio Hub, a library featuring questions from previous students and our detailed answers. You can revisit it whenever you need a refresher, explore practical insights, and continue learning from the experiences of other students.
By the end of this course, you will have a solid understanding of how seasonal colour analysis systems work and develop the skills needed to interpret them, looking beyond rigid rules and stereotypes. You will be able to recognise subtle differences between profiles, understand why certain colours work better than others on each individual, use professional terminology accurately, and approach colour analysis with confidence, structure and professional awareness. Through a combination of theory and extensive practical examples, you will develop the knowledge and skills needed to perform colour analyses both online and in person, following a structured, professional and consistent methodology.
Thanks again for starting this journey with us!
With love and colour,
Alessandra and Giulia
